Who is an Enviromental Hiking Guide?

The ENVIRONMENTAL HIKING GUIDES are enabled to carry out the professional activity to illustrate “to individuals and groups of persons the environmental and naturalistic aspects of the territory, leading them to visit mountain, hilly, lowland and aquatic environments, including man-made parks and protected areas, as well as natural and ecological environments or exhibition facilities”. They obtained their professional qualification through training courses in accordance with L.R. 4/2000, passing the final exams. They operate pursuant to L.4/2013 and are included in the Italian Register of Environmental Hiking Guides held by AIGAE, the only association recognized by the Ministry of Economic Development.

The G.A.E., operating by profession, accompany tourists, issuing a receipt. Having professional RC insurance coverage. Paying taxes. Undergoing mandatory updates.

With regularity, also fiscal, not avoidable with tricks and tricks. Those who carry out without being in compliance with the above mentioned rules the activities of hiking in nature, even without compensation and without character of professionalism and habitual, they can do it exclusively in favor of the true members of the Associations of which they are part, therefore not enrolled the same day of the excursions! The non-professional accompaniment must then be non-profit as provided also by art. 10 of the law 17 May 1983, n. 217, beyond that according to the L.R. 7/2003. The “reimbursement of expenses” must be documented by the relevant supporting documents and not be in fact of the actual participation fees.

Obligations of participants

Participants are required to:

• respect the departure time and the established program, adapting to any changes made by the guide;

• be presented with a psychophysical condition, clothing and equipment suitable for the excursion. In case of doubt, check with the guide before the excursion day;

• maintain a disciplined conduct during the initiative, respecting individuals and private property and following the instructions given by the guide;

• follow the established path without leaving or leaving the group and without passing the guide;

• cooperate with the guide for the success of the initiative, as well as being supportive of its decisions, especially in the event of difficulties (environmental conditions and/ or participants) and inform it of any problems that may arise during the course of the planned activities, in particular with regard to their psychophysical condition and equipment;

• do not collect flowers, plants or protected herbs and in any case follow the instructions given by the guide;

• store your waste up to the appropriate bins.

Each participant is personally responsible for any risky behavior for themselves and others, in particular in the event that they take personal initiatives despite the contrary opinion of the guide.

Declaration of suitability

By accepting these rules, the Participant declares under its own responsibility to be in good health and in a psycho-physical condition suitable for the practice of the excursion. He also declares that he has provided the guide with any information useful for the correct assessment of his suitability.

Mandatory equipment


“Layered” clothing, long hiking pants (possibly light coloured), trekking boots in good condition high up to the ankle, waterproof jacket and/or rain cape, headgear, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable backpack in good condition, packed lunch and personal water supply of at least 1.5 liters.

Recommended use of hiking poles. The use of cotton clothing in contact with the body is not recommended: if possible wear wool or technical garments for hiking.

Hikers who are not properly equipped could, in the opinion of the guide, be excluded from the excursion directly at the place of departure.

Dogs

The Participant who wants to participate accompanied by his dog has the OBLIGATION, during the booking, to notify the guide of the presence of the animal in tow, to assess the suitability and the methods of participation. It will be at the discretion of the guide to confirm or not the suitability for participation of the individual dog or several dogs at the same time, also based on size, gender, character, and type of excursion. Pets will NOT be allowed in heat or who have completed this period in the two weeks before the excursion. The dog must be docile and easy to control; the Participant must have the necessary means of management and control of the animal to ensure proper participation (leash and/or muzzle or similar). It will be the responsibility of the Participant to ensure that their dog does not harm or disturb things, people or animals, that does not damage the flora, private properties, or other hikers. The responsibility for the management of the dog and any problems related to it, is exclusive to the Participant. Failure to notify the participation of the dog or failure to comply with the provisions to control it, may include the exclusion of the Participant from the excursion, even at the time of departure.

Photographs and video footage

During the excursion will be made photographs and/ or video footage that may appear on public domain sites and will be used by the organization for promotional purposes regarding the activity itself. Participation in the excursion implies the authorization to the publication of the aforementioned material.

Mobile phones

Participants are encouraged to keep their mobile phones off. If this is not possible, ringtones must be turned off. In case of need, the interested party is asked to leave the group after communication and authorization of the guide, remaining in sight to the same.

Recording GPS tracks

During the excursions it is allowed to use GPS instruments for orientation purposes but participating the accompanying undertakes not to disclose any tracks recorded.

Acceptance of regulation

Participation in our excursions implies unconditional acceptance of this regulation.

The participation fee includes only the accompanying service.
